My Lament
I don't exist.
Who you see in my place is not me.
He has my soul, he has my body, but
He is not me.
I want to exist.
What I wouldn't give to embrace You,
To have my soul, to have my body, and,
To finally be.
I used to hate Your creation,
I wished to bear Satan's name,
To ruin his soul, to rip his body apart, and
To take delight in his destruction.
I submit to You now, oh God,
If You wish for me to be him, then
I will be him, and I will love who I am,
Because it is You who brings me to be.
Blessed be Your holy name,
From everlasting,
Through everlasting,
To everlasting.
Amen, amen, and amen.
